Elizabeth has been painting murals in the Upper Peninsula for ten years in museums, businesses, restaurants, hospitals, churches, schools and homes.She applied her first murals to walls in her high school, Gwinn, Michigan 1982.

After 4 years of technical art college, majoring in Illustration at Kendall School of Art & Design in Grand Rapids ,1986.Her first 8 years out of school were spent in the screenprinting industry.

She works for herself,now as a fulltime freelance artist.

Her public and residential murals and decorative work serve several purposes: colorful and aesthetically pleasing to the mood of the room and soothing to the clients while bringing a unique style ; still quite affordable.

She feels her murals can be therapeutic and healing for viewers (and the artist).

The murals at Marquette General Hospital , Marquette , MI were gratifying for her especially for those reasons.You can see several examples of her work in the hospital: Neo-natal,Birthing 2nd floor,X-ray and Imaging,3 rd floor, Pediatrics 6 th floor and Hospitality.

Jacobetti Veterans Home,Mqt.MI also displays her handiwork in their hallways.

One of her favorite projects is the mural in the Marquette Arts and Culture Center , located in the lower level of the Peter White Public Library, Marquette , MI .

It was funded by a Michigan Arts Grant in 2000. The city of Marquette organized a committee which ultimately decided on the concepts for the three pillars and two large wall sections now decorated. The final piece was titled “The Spirit of Lake Superior”.It depicts many translations of the words”lake superior’’and an abstract symbolic representation of the lake.
